The Darbyshire Family is proud to sponsor a Balloon at the Downtown Pontiac Holiday Extravaganza Parade! If you're connected to the Darbyshire lineage (for instance, if you're a member of the Darby Connections, descendants of Jimmy Darbyshire), this is a special invitation for you!
Here's your chance to be in the spotlight!
We are seeking a minimum of ten volunteers to help guide the balloon through the parade route. It's advisable to have additional participants to rotate and share the responsibility.
Details for the Day
- Gather at the Cyb Llings office at 31 Oakland Ave by 9:00 AM.
- Some roads are closed, so follow the path in the attached map.
- Park in the large parking lot behind the building. Enter under the awning where the “31” is.
- You can also park at the end of the route and have us pick you up.
- There will be hot drinks, donuts and bagels to eat.
- We will walk to where the parade starts. It is about a 10-minute walk. We need to be there by 9:15.
- The parade is expected to conclude by 12:00 PM. We believe we are at the beginning.
- After the parade, we will shuttle people back to Cyb Llings to meet the people watching and grab some food.
Please Note: This invitation is exclusive to those interested in being part of the parade. A separate invitation will be sent to those who wish to be spectators.
