I (Jimmy) was in the office with the bar manager when we heard the room buzzing and I said, “That’s the sound of a good event.” That energy is exactly what we aim for. We foster a fun Euchre group, which is why there’s no entry fee—things get too serious when money is on the line. That said, we still play for prizes. 

With the end of the month, two prizes were awarded: the $25 Weekly Prize and the $25 Monthly Prize. Tammy was leading both going into the final round, but Julie surged at the end. Julie won the Weekly Prize, and Tammy took the Monthly Prize. 

The Irish Tavern also has an added competition: Weekly and Monthly winners from January through March qualify for a Champions Playoff with a $225 prize. With these wins, Tammy and Julie join Suzanne and Sarah as eligible players. Congratulations to all!
